This is a brand new computer and a brand new install, built it myself, so there shouldn't be any issues with the OS and i do not think it's wise if i reinstalled because i've already filled up about 2.5TB of stuff. Consequently, I do not think there should be anything wrong with the codecs/drivers themselves. i am also running a server on here through my WLAN to my PS3 and all the music is playing on there. i can confirm that itunes was one of the first programs to be installed on my computer so the codecs do not effect it. My sound drivers work, so do other players like VLC and codecs like media player classic's codecs.
